"Education is not the answer to the question. Education is the means to the answer to all questions."
-- William Allin
Bridget Hoida holds a Ph.D. and MA from USC, and a BA from UC Berkeley.
She has successfully helped students get into premier universities and professional schools since 1998. She is an educator and professional writer, who has taught high school, community college, and university level writing courses. Before opening her own educational consulting service, she taught writing at both USC and UC Irvine.
Bridget Hoida's quest to shape and refine the individual voice of her students has been recognized both by the students themselves, who have gone on to publish short-stories, essays, poetry and scientific articles, and by the University of Southern California who twice honored her with distinguished teaching awards. Her success as a writing instructor has also led to her selection as a course coordinator, in charge of mentoring and advising graduate student instructors in the Writing Program as well as moderator of USC's Dean's Hall Undergraduate Literary Salon.
In addition to her commitment to teaching, mentoring, and advising, Bridget Hoida is also active in the Southern California community where she lives. She regularly volunteers her time and services to underrepresented and underserved students in Orange County.
